Novena to St. Anthony

13 days Novena of St. Anthony from 31st May to 13th June

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

O white lily of Purity sublime example of poverty true mirror of humility resplendent star of sanctity O Glorious St. Anthony who did enjoy the sweet privilege of receiving into your arms the Infant Jesus I beseech you to take me under your powerful protection. You, in whom the power of working miracles shines forth among the other gifts of God have pity upon me and come to my aid in this great need.

Cleanse my heart from every disorderly affection. Obtain for me a true contrition for my sins and a great love of God and of my neighbour that serving God faithfully in this life, I may come to praise, enjoy and bless Him eternally with you in Paradise, Amen.

Let us Pray: O most merciful Jesus who has glorified in an admirable manner your Holy Confessor, St. Anthony by continued miracles give us your grace to feel assured that we shall obtain through his intercession and merits what we ask in confidence you who live and reign with God the Father and the Holy Spirit forever and ever, Amen.

Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour

O Mother of Perpetual Help, behold me a miserable sinner at thy feet. I have recourse to thee and put my trust in thee. O Mother of Mercy have pity upon me. I hear thee called by all the refuge and the hope of sinners, be then my refuge and my hope. Help me for the love of Jesus Christ, stretch forth thy hand to me, who recommend and dedicate myself to thee as thy perpetual servant. I bless and thank GOD for having in His mercy given to me this confidence in thee, the pledge as I believe of my eternal salvation. Alas! Too often in past times have I miserably fallen, because I had not recourse to thee! I know that with thy help I shall conquer. I know that thou wilt help me if I recommend myself to thee; but I fear lest in the occasion of falling I should cease to call upon thee and so should lose my soul. This, then, is the grace I seek from thee; and I implore thee, as far as I know how and can, to obtain it for me; namely, in the assaults of hell always to have recourse to thee and to say to thee: O Mary help me; Mother of Perpetual Help, suffer me not to lose my God.

Holy Mary, succour the miserable, help the faint hearted, cheer those that weep, pray for the people, be the advocate of the clergy, intercede for all devout women; let all feel thine aid who implore thy perpetual help.

Let Us Pray

O Lord Jesus Christ, who hast given us Thy most Blessed Mother, whose wondrous image we venerate, to be our Mother, ever ready to succour us, grant we beseech Thee, that we, who earnestly implore her maternal aid, may deserve to enjoy perpetually the fruit of Thy eternal Redemption. Who lives and reigns, with God the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

This Novena is to be said at the same time every hour for nine consecutive hours, in one day.

O Jesus, Who have said: “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you:” through the intercession of Mary, Your most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

O Jesus, Who have said: “All that you ask of My Father in My Name He will grant you:” through the intercession of Mary, Your most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask Your Father in Your Name that my prayer be granted.

(Repeat your request)

O Jesus, Who have said: “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my word shall not pass:” through the intercession of Mary, Your most Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

Prayer of Thanksgiving for Graces Received from the Infant Jesus

I prostrate myself before Your holy image, O most gracious Infant Jesus, to offer You my most fervent thanks for the blessings You have bestowed on me. I shall incessantly praise Your ineffable mercy and confess that You alone are my God, my helper and my protector. Henceforth my entire confidence shall be placed in You. Everywhere I will proclaim aloud Your Mercy and generosity, so that Your great love and the great deeds which You perform through this miraculous image may be acknowledged by all. May devotion to Your holy Infancy extend more and more in the hearts of all Christians, and may all who experience Your assistance persevere with me in showing unceasing gratitude to Your most holy Infancy to which be praise and glory forever. Amen.

Novena to Padre Pio

O humble and beloved St. Padre Pio teach us, we ask of you humility of heart so we may be counted among the little ones of the Gospel to whom the Father has promised to reveal the mysteries of His Kingdom. Beloved St. Padre Pio today we come to add prayers to the thousands of prayers offered to you every day by those who love and venerate you. They ask for cures and healings earthly and spiritual blessings and peace for the body and mind. And because of your friendship with the Lord He heals those who ask to be healed and forgives those you forgive. St. Padre Pio may the healings of the sick become the testimony that the Lord has invited you to be our intercessor. In Your kindness please help us with our own special request.

Help us to pray without ceasing certain that God knows what we need even before we ask Him. Obtain for us the eyes of Faith that we will be able to recognize right away in the poor and the suffering the face of Jesus. Sustain us in the hour of the combat and of the trial and if we fail make us experience the joy of the sacrament of forgiveness.

Grant us your tender devotion to Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother. Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage towards the blessed homeland where we hope to arrive in order to contemplate forever the glory of the Father of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Novena to Our Lady of Good Health, Vailankanni

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Most Holy Virgin You were chosen by the most Adorable Trinity from all eternity to be the most pure Mother of Jesus.

O Tender Mother and Comfortress of the afflicted grant me a special protection which you have promised to those who venerate you. Relying on the infinite mercies of your Divine Son, and penetrated with confidence in your powerful intercession I most humbly entreat you to intercede for me the favours which I petition for in this Novena if it be the Holy Will of God to grant them and if not to ask for me whatever graces I most stand in need of.

In veneration of the love and joy with which your heart was replenished when the “word was made flesh” in your womb I offer you these sentiments of my heart.

I beseech you O comfortress of the afflicted to obtain for me the favours and graces which I have now implored through your powerful intercession. For this end I offer you the good works I do and the sufferings I endure.
